Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Electrical & Dry Utilities Engineer to join our team! We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical & Dry Utilities Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of electrical systems and dry utilities for infrastructure and construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements while providing expert guidance as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) and participating in design reviews to optimize project outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, review, and oversee the implementation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Plan and manage dry utilities infrastructure, including telecommunications, gas, and water systems.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and regulations for electrical and dry utilities systems.
  • Conduct technical evaluations, feasibility studies, and load calculations for electrical and utility systems.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Act as a Project Management Consultant to provide strategic advice on electrical and dry utilities project execution.
  • Develop and implement project management frameworks for electrical and utilities systems.
  • Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide mentorship and training to project teams on best practices in electrical and dry utilities management.
  • Participate in design review meetings to ensure electrical and dry utilities systems align with project requirements.
  • Evaluate design documents for compliance with functionality, efficiency, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify potential design challenges and propose solutions to optimize system performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical and dry utilities systems into overall project designs.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, specifications, and documentation to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all engineering activities.
  • Stay updated on advancements in electrical and dry utilities technologies, standards, and practices.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project success.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical and dry utilities engineering, preferably in infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, dry utilities planning, and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or similar is a plus.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, or equivalent).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and mitigate risks.
