  • Réfection majeure du tunnel LH La Fontaine et des tunnels Ville-Marie et Viger;
  • Déconstruction du pont Champlain, etc.

Actuellement, l’équipe de Ponts et Tunnels est à la recherche d'un Spécialiste en inspection et relevés terrain intermédiaire - Ponts et tunnels pour se joindre à notre bureau de Québec. 

Idéalement vous avez :

  • Baccalauréat en génie, avec spécialisation en structure ou une discipline connexe
  • 3 à 5 années d'expérience professionnelle en génie dans le domaine de l’inspection et des relevés terrain
  • Membre de l’Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec ou d’une autre province Canadienne
  • Accréditation comme pilote de drone ou comme cordiste sont un atout (SPRAT, IRATA)
  • Maîtrise en structure, connaissance en conception de ponts, normes de ponts (CAN/CSA-S6) et des logiciels d'analyse structurale (SAP, CSiBridge, ADA, etc.) sont des atouts
  • Les certifications du MTMD (conception, inspection, entretien, construction et réparation des structures, etc.) sont un atout

La connaissance du français est requise pour les postes situés en permanence au Québec afin que le titulaire puisse communiquer au besoin avec ses collègues et partenaires au Québec. Une formation en français est offerte à tout titulaire d’un poste permanent au Québec qui ne possède pas une bonne connaissance du français.

Autre exigence linguistique :

La maîtrise de l’anglais est requise pour ce poste afin de communiquer avec les collègues, les clients et les partenaires (ou les fournisseurs) situés à l’extérieur du Québec, et de comprendre la documentation technique et scientifique disponible dans le domaine de notre industrie.

Avec nous, vous pourrez :

  • Agir à titre de spécialiste pour la réalisation de relevés terrain utilisant des méthodes innovantes, que ce soit par l’utilisation de drones, les méthodes d’appui sur cordes et autres.
  • Participer au développement de l’équipe d’inspection spécialisée dans l’utilisation de méthodes d’inspection innovantes, en développant les outils et méthodes de travail visant à augmenter l’efficacité des relevés terrain (intégration de l’utilisation de documents d’inspection numériques sur tablettes, création de formulaires et d’outils pour réduire le post-traitement des données d’inspection, utilisation de drone pour l’inspection, le calcul des quantités, etc.).
  • Développer un pôle d’expertise interne dans l’utilisation des méthodes innovantes de gestion des structures (« jumeaux numériques », photogrammétrie, relevés Lidar des structures, etc.) .
  • Collaborer avec les autres disciplines impliquées dans les projets (génie routier, maintien de la circulation, géotechnique, environnement, électricité, planification, etc.).
  • Participer à la préparation et la vérification des livrables (rapports d’inspection, études d’avant-projets, plans, devis, estimations et échéancier des travaux, etc.).
  • Exécuter d'autres activités d’ingénierie associées à ce poste, au besoin.

  • Seismic assessments of the Jacques-Cartier, Clément, Honoré-Mercier, Alexandra (Ottawa) and Prince-of-Wales (Ottawa) bridges;
  • Major rehabilitation of the LH La Fontaine tunnel and the Ville-Marie and Viger tunnels;
  • Deconstruction of the Champlain Bridge, etc.

Currently, the Bridges & Tunnels team is looking for an Intermediate Field Survey & Inspection Specialist - Bridges & Tunnels to join our Quebec City office.

Ideally you have :

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, with specialization in structures or a related discipline
  • 3 to 5 years' professional engineering experience in inspection and field surveys
  • Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec or of another Canadian province
  • Certification as a drone pilot or rope access technician an asset (SPRAT, IRATA)
  • Master's degree in structure, knowledge of bridge design, bridge standards (CAN/CSA-S6) and structural analysis software (SAP, CSiBridge, ADA, etc.) are assets
  • MTMD certifications (structural design, inspection, maintenance, construction and repair, etc.) are an asset

Knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec, so that the incumbent can communicate as needed with colleagues and partners in Quebec. French-language training is offered to any incumbent of a permanent position in Quebec who does not have a good knowledge of French.

Other language requirements:

Fluency in English is required for this position in order to communicate with colleagues, customers and partners (or suppliers) located outside Quebec, and to understand the technical and scientific documentation available in the field of our industry.

  • Act as a specialist in field surveys using innovative methods, such as the use of drones, rope-supported methods and others.
  • Participate in the development of the inspection team specializing in the use of innovative inspection methods, by developing tools and work methods aimed at increasing the efficiency of field surveys (integration of the use of digital inspection documents on tablets, creation of forms and tools to reduce the post-processing of inspection data, use of drones for inspection, calculation of quantities, etc.).
  • Develop in-house expertise in the use of innovative structural management methods (“digital twins”, photogrammetry, Lidar surveys of structures, etc.).
  • Collaborate with other disciplines involved in projects (road engineering, traffic maintenance, geotechnics, environment, electricity, planning, etc.).
  • Participate in the preparation and verification of deliverables (inspection reports, preliminary design studies, plans, specifications, work estimates and schedules, etc.).
  • Perform other engineering activities associated with this position, as required.
