Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a highly capable Full Stack Software Developer to support the design, development, integration, and delivery of mission-critical software for the national cybersecurity and defense mission. The selected candidate will join a small, collaborative team responsible for integrating specialized software into a tactical operations platform that unifies strategic and tactical operational views.

This position is well suited for a mid- to senior-level developer who can work independently, solve complex technical problems, and contribute across the full software development lifecycle—from requirements analysis and architecture through implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment.

This position will be HYBRID - 3 days onsite in the office and 2 days remote.

What You'll Be Doing:

• • Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack software applications.
  • Develop and configure Foundry applications that support mission workflows, operational decision-making, data integration, and user collaboration.
  • Translate business, mission, and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop technical designs, interface specifications, and software architecture documentation.
  • Build responsive web applications using modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks.
  • Develop and integrate backend services, APIs, and web service calls to external systems.
  • Support custom web-based visualizations for complex operational and mission data.
  • Perform coding, debugging, unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for software defects and performance issues.
  • Integrate software components across tactical and enterprise environments.
  • Develop and maintain database solutions using relational and NoSQL database technologies.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote software quality, maintainability, security, and performance.
  • Use Git and established configuration management practices for source control and collaboration.
  • Support deployment, release management, and sustainment activities.
  • Research and implement new development tools, techniques, and technologies, including Foundry capabilities where appropriate.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, test documentation, and user-facing materials.
  • Communicate technical information clearly to customers, engineering teams, and program leadership.
  • Work effectively in an Agile development environment, contributing to planning, estimation, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced developers as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• 10 or more years of professional software development experience, with a strong background in: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining production-quality software applications.
• Experience working independently in a small-team or mission-focused engineering environment.
• Experience across multiple phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain program-specific access requirements, if applicable.

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Foundry application development, including the design, configuration, integration, testing, and deployment of Foundry-based applications.
• Familiarity with Foundry data-driven workflows, operational applications, dashboards, ontology-based data models, and user interfaces.
• Experience developing applications that use Foundry datasets, APIs, data services, or external system integrations.
• Professional experience with React and Java.
• Experience developing custom web-based visualizations and data-driven user interfaces.
• Experience working in a Node.js development environment.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and other web services.
• Experience integrating software with external systems and mission applications.
• Experience with one or more of the following database technologies: Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, other relational or NoSQL database management systems
• Experience with Git-based workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Experience with Agile or DevSecOps development methodologies.
• Familiarity with software deployment, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
• Experience supporting operational, tactical, cybersecurity, intelligence, or defense-related applications.
• Understanding of secure software development practices and application security principles.
• Experience with containerized applications, cloud platforms, automated testing, or infrastructure-as-code is a plus.
• Ability to develop clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $148,300.00 - $266,900.00
