Job Description:

We are looking for a highly talented and motivated Senior Site Engineer with a focus on MEP works to join us on a large scale infrastructure project based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supervise on-site installation of electrical systems including LV/HV works, lighting, power distribution, containment, grounding, and cabling.

  • Manage a team of Site Inspectors to ensure electrical works are in compliance with IFC drawings, project specifications, and safety standards.

  • Manage and coordinate works in other disciplines including civil and mechanical to prevent delay, resolve conflicts and ensure integration of all systems.

  • Review and interpret electrical designs, shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals for compliance with international (IEC, IEEE, NFPA) and Saudi standards.

  • Monitor contractor activities to ensure adherence to schedule, quality, and HSE requirements.

  • Conduct routine site inspections; issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs) as necessary and verify closure of corrective actions.

  • Liaise with design engineers, consultants, and cross-disciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and field discrepancies.

  • Witness and verify electrical testing and commissioning activities, including insulation resistance, continuity, and functional performance tests.

  • Coordinate closely with QA/QC and HSE teams to uphold safety, quality, and compliance requirements on-site.

  • Maintain detailed project documentation including inspection reports, daily logs, progress updates, and correspondence.

  • Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and ensure accuracy for final handover.

  • Support commissioning and energization readiness to ensure systems are operational prior to handover.

  • Provide regular technical updates to the Construction Manager and highlight any risks or issues affecting delivery.

What requirements you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in electrical supervision, preferably on infrastructure or public realm projects in the Middle East.

  • Previous experience working with tier-1 consultants or contractors is highly desirable.

  • Solid knowledge of electrical systems, low and medium voltage installations, and associated site practices.

  • Proficiency in reviewing technical documentation including ITPs, shop drawings, and technical submittals.

  • Familiarity with site QA/QC and HSE protocols.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

  • Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration preferred.

  • Detail-oriented with high standards of quality assurance.

  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
