Job Description:

Senior Resident Engineer

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Resident Engineer.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Managing a team to deliver Operational Maintenance requirements

• Working closely with the client to understand their needs

• Identifying and reporting issues along with developing mitigation plans

• Plans, schedules, and supervises all field engineering activities

• Exercises administrative authority over field engineering work

• Controls and coordinates field engineering operations

• Prepares construction and procurement schedules

• Conducts subcontract negotiations

• Provides technical guidance to support construction operations

• Ensures compliance with company procedures and industry best practices

• Willingness to relocate to construction site locations as required

• Plans, organizes, and ensures proper staffing for all field engineering activities and support operations

• Oversees execution and monitors progress of field engineering work

• Provides guidance on scope, schedules, procedures, and technical issues related to construction

• Estimates budgets and determines staffing needs based on project scope and timeline

• Establishes and maintains quality control for construction engineering in the field

• Collaborates with construction management to identify and eliminate environmental, safety, and health hazards

• Ensures all personnel follow safe work practices in line with site-specific procedures and industry standards

• Builds and maintains strong relationships with project design engineers, clients, and contractors

• Maintains essential project documentation such as control records, design drawings, specifications, change orders, and back-charge documents

• Monitors contractor performance to ensure adherence to schedules and project specifications

• Conducts performance evaluations for assigned team members

• Makes decisions on long-term planning, scheduling, budgeting, priorities, and personnel management

• Advises management on field engineering procedures, construction methods, and financial matters

• Regularly communicates with upper management and client representatives

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in construction

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in field construction

• Experience in large civil, structural, and/or industrial projects, both National and international

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• An ability to build collaborative relationships to deliver successful project outcomes

• An ability to work in a fast paced project environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience in the management and delivery of operational maintenance

• Some supervisory experience is desirable
