Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior QS to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Take care of the financial and contractual aspects of the project/ programme.

• Participate, record and prepare the minutes of the progress meetings.

• Provide support on all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of the work in the project.

• Finalize the Contractor’s monthly payment certificates.

• Make sure that all cost and quantity records are streamlined and kept in order.

• Advise the SRE and RE’s on measurement procedures and calculation of interim and final quantities.

• Evaluate the unit rates for new work items.

• Establish the way of recording the details and monitor the day works recording and process

• Lead in the preparation of variation orders.

• Lead in the evaluation of claims.

• Advice on contractual matters related to financial issues

• Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements

• Advise on contractor’s resource allocation.

• Prepare financial statements for monthly report.

• Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations.

• Check and record measurements of completed work.

• Monitor contracts final cost estimates.

• Coordinate and monitor activities of his team.

• Prepare Final Account with all supporting documentation

• Must be prepared to Work in the Field within Client offices and site offices

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or construction management or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Mandatory 12+ years post graduate demonstrable experience in all aspects of quantity surveying with a minimum of 6+ years experience should be in UAE

• Proven experience in analyzing contract variations and claims

• Experience in contracts engineering under construction supervision project is a must.

• Excellent written contractual correspondence and verbal communication skills.

• Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, engineering drawings and specifications, and be qualified to be a QS team leader

• Working knowledge of software typically associated with quantity surveying and familiarity with typical project controls software such as Primavera scheduling software, Estimate/Schedule Transfer tools, Contract Manager, and DMCS (Document and Materials Control System) is required.

• Must be available in UAE.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Qualified and chartered by a recognized international body such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) will be an added advantage.

• 8+ years of related work experience in road & infrastructure projects is preferred.

• Ability to perform difficult estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry is required.
