Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Planning/Scheduling Engineer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• The Senior Engineer shall develop and maintain schedules for all the projects. The Planning Engineer shall track Progress, Manhours and Cost as compared to the schedule.

• The Planning Engineer shall define the staffing requirements for the office considering the current workload and the expected projects.

• The Planning Engineer shall assist the Project Managers to perform financial analysis related to projects. Work with the Finance department staff in all issues related to the time charging of staff. Assist the Project Manager to execute projects on schedule and within budget. Planning Engineer shall also develop schedules for proposals.

• Prepare and maintain schedule for all the projects. Review and approval of all submitted Master programmes, recovery programmes and Design and construction programmes.

• Review, assessment and recommendation of all EOT claims submitted

• Provide feedback to Management regarding staffing requirements based on project schedules and loading.

• Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of Project Management Plan.

• Assist the procurement team with tender programmes,

  Review and advise the Commercial team on time impact of Variations and assist and input on the Change Management process workflow

• Tracking Progress, Manhours and Cost as compared to schedule. Preparation of weekly and monthly schedule trackers

• Preparation of project KPIs and monitoring and tracking of same

• Periodical reports to clients and Management as required, on progress, delays, mitigation plans, EOT claims.

• Advising Project Manager of adverse schedule, manhour and cost variation, if any.

• Advising Project Manager of necessity of overtime to meet project milestones.

• Provide adequate support to the Project Managers in project execution per schedule.

• Ensure the usage of correct works basis by all department personnel.

• Proper coordination with other disciplines.

• Ensure standards used are current.

• Provide the required input during the preparation of technical proposals.

• Increase client satisfaction.

• Improve client communications.

• Decrease errors in the works output.

• Reduce the manhour expenditure for works output.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Civil Engineering Degree, Construction Management qualification

• 10 years experience

• Primavera P6 and/or other scheduling software experience

• Power BI

• MS Project

• MS Office

• PowerPoint presentation skills

• Graphics skills

• PMIS and EDMS usage experience
