Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Planner to join our team! You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the planning and scheduling activities for an aviation project.  This role involves developing detailed project schedules, managing resources, and ensuring that all project milestones are met on time and within budget. The Senior Planner will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard planning tools.
• Coordinate with project teams to gather necessary information and update project schedules regularly.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues, providing solutions to keep projects on track.
• Conduct regular schedule reviews and progress meetings with project stakeholders.
• Prepare and present detailed progress reports to senior management and clients.
• Ensure that all planning activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Manage resource allocation and ensure that project teams have the necessary resources to meet project deadlines.
• Assist in the development of project budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure projects remain within budget.
• Support the development of risk management plans and mitigation strategies.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior planners and other team members.
• Implement and maintain project control systems and procedures to ensure effective project execution.
• Analyze project data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cost controllers to integrate cost and schedule data for comprehensive project control.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Urban/Environmental Planning or related field, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project planning and controls, preferably within the [industry].
• Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and best practices.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent).
• Previous experience in planning and controls for large-scale aviation projects
