Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Senior MEP Manager to join our team! In this role you will provide technical leadership for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and ELV/ICT systems across a major development program in Qatar, ensuring all building services systems are designed, coordinated, and delivered in compliance with project requirements, regulatory standards, and operational performance targets.

As Senior MEP Manager, you will oversee multidisciplinary MEP engineering teams and coordinate closely with design consultants, contractors, and project leadership to ensure seamless integration of building systems across complex mixed-use developments.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide strategic oversight and technical leadership for all MEP systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and ELV/ICT infrastructure.
• Lead the coordination and integration of building services systems across multiple zones and asset types within the development program.
• Oversee design reviews, value engineering workshops, and validation of IFC packages and technical submissions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international codes, Qatar regulatory requirements, and authority approvals.
• Manage multidisciplinary coordination between architecture, structural, AV/ICT, infrastructure, and specialist engineering disciplines.
• Lead and manage MEP engineering teams, BIM coordinators, and commissioning specialists throughout project lifecycle phases.
• Develop and maintain MEP review trackers, technical comment logs, and risk registers to ensure efficient design coordination.
• Resolve complex coordination challenges related to MEP layouts, utility corridors, riser planning, and equipment access.
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants to ensure effective MEP installation, testing, commissioning, and performance verification.
• Monitor system integration including smart building technologies, life safety systems, and energy performance strategies.
• Support large-scale testing and commissioning activities, functional performance verification, and alignment with operations and maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate closely with authorities and stakeholders to ensure approvals from Kahramaa, QCD, Ooredoo, PWA, and other regulatory bodies.
• Ensure MEP deliverables align with project schedule, quality standards, and program objectives.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 18–20 years of professional experience in building services design, coordination, and supervision.
• At least 8 years in a senior MEP leadership role on large-scale developments.
• Minimum 5 years of experience within PMC/PMCM or client-representative roles on major projects.
• Proven experience delivering complex mixed-use developments such as stadiums, arenas, motorsports facilities, hospitality developments, retail environments, or immersive venues.
• Experience coordinating integrated infrastructure including utilities, data centers, back-of-house (BOH) systems, and marina infrastructure.
• Demonstrated delivery of at least two major projects within Qatar or the GCC region, including coordination with local authorities.
• Strong experience managing authority approvals including Kahramaa, QCD, Ooredoo, and Public Works Authority (PWA).
• Extensive knowledge of local and international building codes, fire safety requirements, energy performance standards, and low-voltage system integration.
• Strong understanding of smart building technologies, life safety strategies, and electrical load diversity planning.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering coordination across complex project environments.
• Strong technical expertise in design compliance reviews, multidisciplinary coordination, and technical review processes.
• Proficiency with digital engineering and BIM coordination platforms including AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC system design, power load schedules, hydraulic systems, and integrated building services design.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and coordination skills to manage engineering teams and complex stakeholder environments.
• UPDA Grade A certification in Qatar is highly desirable for authority coordination.
