Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an experienced Senior HSE Coordinator (Saudi National) with 5 years of relevant experience to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives on a major airport/airfield development project. This role requires in-depth knowledge of aviation construction HSE standards, risk management, incident investigation, and compliance monitoring.

The Senior HSE Coordinator will oversee HSE implementation, mentor junior staff, and ensure adherence to client, regulatory, and corporate safety requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Develop, implement, and enforce HSE management systems and policies across the project.
• Ensure compliance with airport safety regulations, local laws, and corporate HSE standards.
• Lead risk assessments, method statements, and safety planning activities.
• Conduct HSE inspections, audits, and safety walks, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions.
• Track and analyze HSE KPIs, preparing reports for project leadership and the client.
• Ensure accurate incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up actions.
• Deliver HSE training programs, toolbox talks, and safety awareness initiatives.
• Mentor and guide HSE Coordinators and site personnel to maintain high safety standards.
• Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, ensuring root cause analysis.
• Develop mitigation plans and ensure implementation across project teams.
• Liaise with contractors, client representatives, regulatory authorities, and multidisciplinary teams on HSE matters.
• Provide technical HSE guidance and support for construction, commissioning, and operational activities.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Exposure to airport/aviation projects, with experience in complex site operations.
• Strong understanding of HSE management systems, ISO 45001, OSHA, and local regulations.
• Proven ability to conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and leadership skills.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
• Experience managing HSE programs for large-scale, multi-stakeholder airport projects.
• Familiarity with aviation-specific HSE practices and reporting requirements.
