Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Fleet Manager to join our team on the Qiddiya Project!
Job Purpose:
The Senior Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational management of the company’s vehicle and equipment fleet used in construction and engineering projects. This includes planning, procurement, maintenance, logistics, compliance, and cost control. The role is crucial in ensuring maximum fleet efficiency, safety, and compliance with local regulations in line with the company’s goals and project requirements across Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive fleet management strategy aligned with project timelines and operational needs.
Forecast future fleet requirements based on upcoming project pipelines and geographic expansions.
Procurement & Vendor Management:
Manage the acquisition, leasing, and disposal of vehicles and heavy equipment.
Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers, rental companies, and service providers.
Operations & Utilization:
Ensure optimal deployment and utilization of vehicles, equipment, and drivers across construction sites.
Coordinate logistics and vehicle assignments in collaboration with project managers and site engineers.
Maintenance & Repairs:
Oversee preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, and emergency repairs.
Implement tracking systems to monitor performance, breakdowns, and downtime.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all vehicles and drivers meet Saudi regulatory, legal, and safety standards, including MOT, licenses, insurance, and environmental compliance.
Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies as needed.
Cost & Budget Control:
Manage fleet budgets, control operational costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Generate regular reports on KPIs such as fuel consumption, maintenance costs, asset lifecycle, etc.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a team of fleet coordinators, mechanics, and drivers.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certifications in fleet management, logistics, or transportation (e.g., NAFA, CAFM) are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in fleet or transport management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven experience in managing construction equipment and vehicle fleets in the Middle East, preferably within Saudi Arabia.
Strong knowledge of Saudi transport regulations, logistics, and infrastructure.
