Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior MEP Estimator to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems based on project specifications, blueprints, and other documents.

• Analyze drawings and specifications to understand project requirements and scope.

• Perform quantity takeoffs for MEP systems to determine the materials, equipment, and labor required for the project.

• Ensure accuracy in measuring and counting all necessary components

• Prepare and submit detailed and competitive bid proposals for MEP systems.

• Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure compliance with project specifications.

• Develop and manage budgets for MEP components of construction projects.

• Ensure estimates align with overall project budgets and financial goals.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Ability to analyze project documents, specifications, and blueprints to accurately determine the scope and costs of MEP systems.

• Proficiency in identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and risk factors.

• Strong grasp of financial principles related to budgeting, cost control, and value engineering.

• Ability to prepare and manage budgets effectively for MEP systems.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 15+ years of proven experience in a similar role

• Middle East experience 5+ years

• Familiarity with advanced estimation software and tools, including Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.

• Experience with integrated project management and cost control software.

• Knowledge of specific sectors within MEP systems, such as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical systems and plumbing systems.

• Understanding of sustainable building practices and green construction methods.
