Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Engineer - Mechanical who will be responsible for the application of mechanical engineering expertise and supervising the mechanical coordination within assigned projects. The mechanical engineer will also provide direction and management for investment projects, light industry projects, commercial & residential projects which include coordination, scope management and overall implementation of the project to meeting project goals and objectives. Should be familiar with the integration of the engineering/technical aspects and mechanical construction activities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for overall coordination and management of any assigned mechanical (HVAC, firefighting, MEP, piping system, "drain waste & vent, domestic water" and installation and commissioning of the mechanical
systems) projects interface with Master Planning team, Engineering, Procurement, F&B Utility Company, and all other stakeholders. - Define the technical design basis, schedule, development implementation plan, lead efforts of monitoring private investment projects in coordination with the Investment Development Division and Project Management
Department. - Assists Senior Project Manager in the preparation of requests for proposals prepares and/or reviews contract documents develops scopes of projects.
- Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and public meetings in support of the client
- Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
- Establish the program implementation requirements for all areas of the project and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
- Responsible for executing project plans in coordination with key subordinates after careful assessment of project execution plan
- Make recommendations to create project teams capable of completing effective and quality work.
- Work with the key project individuals to devise the execute actions plans to rectify potential conflicts, coordination issues and delays.
- Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through the application of the Quality Assurance process.
- Monitors the reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions.
- Establishes weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action items.
- Performs other project management functions as required by Management.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of construction project experience.
- Extensive knowledge of design and installation of mechanical systems.
- Strong background in mechanical project management and supervisory assignments in scheduling, project acceptance, planning, budgeting, procurement and feasibility studies.
