Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Design Engineer (Telecom) to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for designing and implementing Telecoms systems, collaborating with other design Engineers and departments, and ensuring that designs meet project requirements, codes, and standards. Will produce Telecom calculations, drawings and technical reports for both building and infrastructure projects.

What You'll Be Doing:
BIM Model Creation and Management:

• Develop safe and efficient Telecom design solutions for projects within Yanbu Industrial City and undertake the required calculations, reports and design reviews

• Working closely with and taking ownership of detailed models/drawings produced by the CAD and Revit Technicians for construction projects, concentrating on Telecom design but being familiar with, and interface with, Architectural, Civil, Mechanical and Structural Engineers.

• Maintain and update models, Drawings and Documents throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

• Ensuring the implementation of client procedures and standards especially for CAD/REVIT/BIM.

Collaboration and Coordination:

• Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and other stakeholders to develop accurate models that reflect design intent and constraints.

• Participate in coordination meetings to ensure alignment of model elements and project details.

Design and Analysis:

• Functions as a technical expert in performing design/modifications of telecommunications infrastructure, including networks, cables, and equipment.

• Design, size, and layout telecommunication and electrical elements. Projects include residential, commercial and Industrial buildings and infrastructure, therefore, a thorough understanding of Fiber Optic Infrastructure, LV distribution, small power and lighting, building services and management systems, life safety systems, SCADA, telecommunication, CCTV, audio, security and access control systems is a key requirement.

• Prepares detailed designs drawings and/or construction details for projects, buildings, elements or components, including associated specifications, schedules, calculations etc.

• Prepares construction cost estimates for ELV systems.

• Prepares Requests for Proposal (RFP) documents with design concepts.

• Verify design calculations and review detailed drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or in technically equivalent discipline.

• Minimum of 8 years of comprehensive Construction industry experience in Telecommunication Engineering, associated technologies and facilities.

• Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams using BIM software.

• Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.

• Strong knowledge of Telecommunication and Low-Voltage systems.

• Extensive experience of working with CAD / Production team in the use of BIM within the Construction industry.

• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proactive, problem-solving, and detail-oriented approach.

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
