Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Data Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to develop and maintain application data, associated data pipelines, and architectures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with APIs, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and SQL. Duties will include coordinating with business owners, designing and building relational data systems, testing for and mitigating errors, and updating systems to accommodate changes in company needs.
What You'll Be Doing:
Manage large, complex, and disparate sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources using MS SQL, Oracle, and Azure technology.
Develop relational data systems and data pipelines to support analytical tools and visualizations, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams, to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Proficient with Transact-SQL; Python is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Azure services and architecture.
Experience with comprehensive data conversion projects is preferred.
Extensive experience with Relational Database systems.
Experience with both on-premises and cloud ETL toolsets (preferably SSIS, ADF, Synapse, AWS).
Experience working under federal, international, and SOX compliance.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Familiarity with Web API and Rest API data extraction.
Familiarity with data sovereignty and multi-language reporting.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience; a technical degree is preferred.
10+ years of professional data engineering/architecture/development experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with a track record of taking solution ownership.
