Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Engineer to join our team in Tabuk. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing project cost controls, forecasting, and budget management for large-scale, complex infrastructure or mega-projects. You will work closely with project management teams to provide critical financial data, analyze variances, and ensure projects are executed within budget constraints.
What You'll Be Doing
Cost Control & Budgeting: Establish, maintain, and oversee project cost control systems. Develop and manage baseline budgets, work breakdown structures (WBS), and cost accounts.
Forecasting & Variance Analysis: Prepare monthly cost forecasts, Estimate at Completion (EAC), and variance reports. Identify cost trends and potential overruns early, providing actionable mitigation strategies to project leadership.
Earned Value Management (EVM): Apply EVM principles to measure project performance and progress, analyzing Schedule Variance (SV) and Cost Variance (CV).
Change Management: Review, evaluate, and track project change orders, trends, and claims to assess their impact on the overall project budget and forecast.
Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly project status reports and financial dashboards for both internal management and clients.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Procurement, Scheduling, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment between cost data, schedules, and contractual commitments.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project cost engineering and project controls, ideally within mega-projects, major infrastructure, or civil engineering sectors.
Technical Skills: Proficient in project management and cost control software (e.g., Primavera P6, PRISM, EcoSys, or advanced MS Excel).
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
Certifications: Professional certification such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Certified Cost Engineer (CCE), or Project Management Professional (PMP) is highly desirable.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
Geographic Flexibility: Willingness to live and work in the Tabuk region.
