Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Communication Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be conducting analysis, design, and review of communication systems, including the placement of communication devices, fiber optic cables, and ducts, as well as ensuring network security and evaluating data communication products.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Conduct analysis of the drawings and identify corridors and locations for the placement of communication devices, fiber optic cables, and ducts.

• Conduct analysis of the drawings and identify locations for the placement of devices such as cameras, sensors, Bluetooth devices, and smart city devices.

• Review 10% / 30% / 60% / 90% design package submittals, identify errors, and provide comments if any.

• Review submittals, substitutions, and Requests for Information (RFI) during construction if required.

• Review technical specifications, conceptual schemes, and scope of work descriptions.

• Review vendor and shop drawings, and construction materials.

• Study and analyze the existing communication network, including active and passive infrastructure.

• Perform network security analysis and write policy documents.

• Review the design and construction drawings for the fiber communication network.

• Review technical specifications and system documentation with a focus on communication network design.

• Study and evaluate data communication products from different manufacturers and make necessary recommendations.

• Lead site inspections, review test plans and related documents, user acceptance, and participate in site acceptance, identify errors, and provide comments if any.

• Attend relevant meetings.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in communication engineering.

• Strong technical writing and communication skills, proven through technical presentations, technical papers, and/or participation in technical committees.

• Ability to obtain a KSA Driving License.

• Established career as a Communications Engineer with strong and effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

• Strong communication network design and construction experience desirable.

• Strong network security experience.
