Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team!

In this role, you will be responsible for supervising all civil and structural activities during the construction phase, ensuring the highest levels of quality, safety, and design compliance. You will play a critical role in technical reviews, inspections, and coordination with design and construction teams.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Reviewing and approving structural method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals.

• Monitoring contractor’s compliance with design requirements, technical specifications, and safety standards.

• Conducting site inspections, structural quality audits, and managing non-conformance reports (NCRs).

• Coordinating with design consultants to resolve structural queries and ensure timely implementation of design changes.

• Supporting value engineering processes and ensuring structural optimization.

• Participating in claim analysis and resolution related to civil and structural works.

• Ensuring adherence to local regulations, project specifications, and international standards throughout execution.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Deep technical expertise in reinforced concrete and steel structures, particularly for high-rise developments.

• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, construction codes, and industry standards.

• Proven ability to lead structural inspections, review shop drawings, and manage quality documentation.

• Proficiency in structural coordination with multidisciplinary teams and resolving field issues efficiently.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural supervision and quality assurance, with at least 3 years in Qatar.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Experience in structural optimization and value engineering for large-scale developments.

• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, STAAD, or equivalent tools.

• Hands-on experience with deep foundation systems and their execution in complex soil conditions.

• Familiarity with local authority procedures and documentation requirements for structural approvals.

• Ability to work independently, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical excellence on-site.
