Job Description:

Senior Civil Engineer

UAE, Abu Dhabi

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Civil Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to review the details design based on client standard.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Review detailed design drawings in compliance with client Civil Standards.

• Review Issued for Construction (IFC) submissions from requestors to ensure adherence to client standards and authority requirements.

• Issue Approved IFC letters and coordinate with the construction team to proceed with Construction eNOC approvals.

• Resolve unexpected technical issues arising during design and construction stages.

• Coordinate with cost, quantity surveying, and cost control teams to prepare and manage project budgets.

• Liaise with field teams to address technical and site-related issues.

• Update and maintain the Client Civil Standard Manual

• Arrange and attend meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities for full design and construction coordination.

• Ensure compliance with client management requirements and procedures.

• Coordinate between civil and electrical engineers to resolve technical and site coordination issues.

• Attend weekly progress meetings with authorities related to NOCs and project status.

• Coordinate with project management teams to resolve issues and ensure timely project delivery.

• Coordinate with subcontractors and assist in preparing work requisitions for subcontracted works.

• Prepare and submit Traffic Management Plans and diversion drawings until authority approvals are obtained.

• Prepare shop drawings for site execution.

• Raise RFIs to consultants to resolve design issues affecting construction progress.

• Attend project meetings with PMT and external stakeholders.

• Resolve conflicts with authorities, internal teams, and external stakeholders in line with contractual obligations.

• Ensure site activities comply with approved IFC drawings.

• Review structural calculations for poles, gantries, and related infrastructure.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of Design and Construction experience in Dry Utilities which is related to power and communication (electricity, telecommunications and fiber optics). 
• Proven experience as a Senior Design Civil Engineer on large-scale infrastructure or building projects.
• Proficiency in reviewing structural calculations, shop drawings, and traffic management plans.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Monitoring and Control Center (MCC) approval is preferred.
• Knowledge of MCC Civil Standards, IFC documentation, and authority approval processes.
• Familiarity with QHSE standards and construction compliance requirements.
• Have a proactive and problem solving personality.
• Good communication and coordination skills
