Senior Architect

Qatar

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Architect to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the architectural design of infrastructure and utility building projects that support and enhance the built environment. You will be responsible for leading the design process, ensuring compliance with local and international standards, and delivering high‑quality, coordinated architectural solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Regular communication with project managers / team / clients to update the status and to resolve any technical issues.
• Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
• Work with architectural design manager to establish policies, procedures, and guidelines for architectural team.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project progress and design concepts.
• Using the TOR to identify clients’ needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposals.
• Develop proposals as per client’s needs, building’s usage, local and international codes, and environmental impact.
• Initiate requirements gathering, designing, and implementing client requirements.
• Controlling projects from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design.
• Utilize 3D for enhance project visualization.
• Review and approve architectural drawings and specifications.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Reviews and checks design documents for correctness and conformity with project requirements and specifications, including local and international building codes, guidelines, and regulations.
• Finalize design within budgets and timelines.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
• 10 years of relevant architectural design experience, including at least 5 years in the GCC in a Senior Architect role.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar local building codes and applicable international building standards.
• Must hold MMUP registration.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare technical correspondence and documentation related to design responsibilities.
• Must be able to provide a portfolio demonstrating design and artistic skills.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

• QCDD and GSAS registrations are preferable.
• Proficiency in architectural design principles and practices.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar's local building codes and international building standards.
• Advanced skills in Revit software and other relevant design tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
