Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an individual to join the Electronics Security Systems (ESS) team as an on site Installation Tech. As an Installation Technician  you will be responsible for the overall success of each Security System conversion and integration from design to close out. The successful applicant will join a team of Electronic Technicians and Programmers that install, repair, troubleshoot, modify and maintain various types of electronic equipment and related devices. The Installation Tech will apply basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by utilizing hands on experience and skills that may not be found by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.

Job Duties       

• Obtain and maintain system certifications (Identiv, Bosch, Commend, Aiphone, Allied Telesis, Cisco, etc.)
• Install CCV, IDS, Access Control, and Intercom Systems
• Troubleshoot systems on site with Programmers and remote support from leadership
• Manage conversion of equipment during and after installation
• Assist in documentation of all project requirements related to barcoding, redlining project plans, etc.

Qualifications

• All ESS site personnel are required to have knowledge in  CCTV, IDS, Access Control, and Intercom Systems.
• The ability to maintain a Secret clearance throughout the life of the project and report any changes to their eligibility status immediately
• The successful applicant must have a highschool diploma and 5+ years of experience in this field.
• Must demonstrate ability to apply technical knowledge of ESS principles to determine equipment malfunctions, as well as skills in restoring equipment operation.
• Additional qualities such as ability to recommend changes to installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance a plus.
• Work requires experience in systems such as, but not limited to, Identiv, Bosch, Aiphone, Commend, Allied Telesis and Lenel. 
• Prior certifications a plus.
• The applicant must also have a general understanding of applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety.

Environment

• The projects are all executed in a Federal Environment.
• As a Government Contractor, you will be required to pass an extensive background check prior to employment.
