About the Role:

Parsons Corporation seeks a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager - Design to contribute to the groundbreaking NEOM THE LINE project. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of safety principles, risk assessment techniques, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in implementing safety programs for large-scale design projects and ensuring a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Program Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs for the design phase of the project, aligning with NEOM’s safety standards and international best practices.

  • Establish safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all design team members.

• Risk Assessment and Management:

  • Conduct thorough hazard identification and risk assessments for design activities.

  • Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to minimize safety hazards.

  • Monitor and control safety risks throughout the design phase.

• Design Safety Reviews:

  • Review design documents to identify potential safety hazards and recommend design modifications to enhance safety.

  • Conduct safety reviews of design change requests to ensure they do not compromise safety.

• Safety Training and Awareness:

  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for design team members, covering topics such as hazard recognition, risk assessment, and emergency procedures.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and encourage proactive safety behaviors.

• Incident Investigation and Reporting:

  • Investigate safety incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

  • Prepare detailed incident reports and share lessons learned with the project team.

• Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, codes, and standards.

  • Stay updated on the latest safety regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.

• Minimum of 20 years of experience in safety management, with a strong focus on design engineering projects.

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification.

• In-depth knowledge of safety standards, regulations, and best practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
