Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to support a major aviation program in the European Union (EU). In this role you will play a key role in overseeing the execution of construction projects, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Project Engineer or Project Manager, the Resident Engineer will be responsible for managing day-to-day construction activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.
This position requires a highly experienced professional with a proven track record in managing industrial or infrastructure construction projects, including expertise in project, contract, cost, change, or claims management.
What You'll Be Doing:
Oversee the execution of construction works, ensuring compliance with design documentation, technical specifications, and applicable regulations.
Monitor and manage the progress of construction activities, ensuring alignment with the approved schedule and budget.
Supervise and coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on-site.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control, adherence to safety standards, and compliance with environmental regulations.
Review and approve construction materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure conformity with project requirements.
Identify and resolve technical issues, conflicts, or discrepancies in design and construction.
Manage and document changes to the project scope, schedule, or budget, ensuring proper approvals and communication with relevant stakeholders.
Support the preparation and review of claims, including technical and financial analysis, and provide recommendations for resolution.
Ensure proper documentation of construction activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and records of inspections and tests.
Participate in acceptance processes, including interim, partial, and final acceptances, and verify the completion of works in accordance with contractual requirements.
Coordinate with design teams, consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design and construction phases.
Enforce compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and environmental protection requirements on-site.
Provide technical advice and recommendations to the Project Engineer or Project Manager to support decision-making.
Prepare and submit regular progress reports, highlighting key achievements, risks, and recommendations for corrective actions.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
At least 10 years of professional experience in project, contract, cost, change, or claims management on construction projects.
participated in at least one service in the last 15 years that involved supervising construction works for the construction of a new or the extension of an existing airport, airport infrastructure, or airport facilities in the Republic of Poland. This service must relate to construction works with a total value completed or accepted by a certificate of acceptance (within the meaning of FIDIC) or a final acceptance protocol.
Professional registration or chartership (e.g., PE, CEng, PMP, or equivalent) is preferred.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Polish or other relevant languages is an advantage.
