Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Reporting Lead to join our team!

The Reporting Lead will be responsible for leading the project reporting, performance monitoring, data consolidation, KPI management, dashboards, and management information functions across the project.

The role will establish a robust reporting framework to provide accurate, timely, and meaningful information to Project Management, senior leadership, the Client, and key stakeholders. The Reporting Lead will consolidate inputs from Planning, Cost Control, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Commercial, Quality, HSE, Commissioning, and other functions to provide a single, reliable view of project performance.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage the Project Reporting function and reporting team.
  • Establish and maintain the Project Reporting Strategy, procedures, templates, and reporting calendar.
  • Develop and maintain standardized weekly, monthly, executive, and client reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate collection and consolidation of project performance data from all project functions.
  • Ensure reporting information is accurate, consistent, complete, traceable, and submitted within agreed deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain the Master Reporting Calendar and monitor all reporting deliverables.
  • Prepare and manage Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Executive Reports as required.
  • Develop comprehensive project dashboards covering schedule, cost, progress, procurement, engineering, construction, commissioning, quality, HSE, risks, and commercial performance.
  • Establish and monitor project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics.
  • Develop meaningful performance indicators aligned with project objectives, contractual requirements, and management expectations.
  • Analyze project performance trends and identify deviations, risks, and emerging issues.
  • Provide management with clear trend analysis, variance analysis, root causes, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Coordinate closely with Planning and Cost Control teams to ensure consistency between schedule, progress, and cost reporting.
  • Consolidate planned vs. actual progress, S-curves, milestones, critical path, cost performance, and forecast information.
  • Coordinate with Engineering teams to report design deliverables, approvals, RFIs, technical submissions, and engineering progress.
  • Coordinate with Procurement teams to monitor procurement status, material approvals, purchase orders, manufacturing, deliveries, and long-lead items.
  • Coordinate with Construction teams to report physical progress, productivity, manpower, equipment, work fronts, and key construction activities.
  • Coordinate with Commissioning teams to report system completion, testing, commissioning, punch lists, and handover progress.
  • Coordinate with Quality teams to report inspections, NCRs, audits, quality trends, and outstanding corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with HSE teams to report safety performance, incidents, inspections, observations, and leading/lagging indicators.
  • Coordinate with Commercial and Contracts teams to report variations, claims, notices, commercial risks, and contractual matters.
  • Coordinate with Risk teams to incorporate key project risks, opportunities, and mitigation actions into management reporting.
  • Maintain a consolidated Project Performance Dashboard for senior management.
  • Develop executive-level reports highlighting critical issues requiring management attention.
  • Prepare Management Information (MI) packs for project leadership meetings and steering committees.
  • Develop presentations for Client, Executive Management, and project governance meetings.
  • Ensure all reported figures are supported by reliable source data and appropriate evidence.
  • Establish reporting data validation and quality-control procedures.
  • Perform data checks and challenge inconsistencies between different project functions.
  • Maintain reporting databases and historical performance records.
  • Monitor reporting trends and maintain historical datasets to support benchmarking and forecasting.
  • Develop automated reporting and dashboard solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual reporting.
  • Utilize Power BI, Excel, and other data visualization tools to improve reporting quality and management visibility.
  • Integrate data from multiple project systems and sources where applicable.
  • Establish standardized reporting formats across contractors, consultants, and project packages.
  • Review contractor and consultant reports and ensure alignment with project reporting requirements.
  • Challenge inconsistencies, unsupported progress claims, and incomplete reporting information.
  • Track outstanding reporting actions and ensure timely closure.
  • Support preparation of monthly progress reports and contractual reports.
  • Provide reporting inputs for project reviews, audits, governance meetings, and Client submissions.
  • Maintain a controlled repository of approved reports and performance records.
  • Support project controls teams with reporting requirements related to EVM, CPI, SPI, forecast, productivity, and schedule performance.
  • Identify recurring reporting issues and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain reporting standards, guidance notes, templates, and procedures.
  • Lead reporting improvement and digitalization initiatives.
  • Provide training and guidance to Reporting Engineers, Analysts, and project personnel contributing to reporting.
  • Ensure continuity and consistency of reporting during major project phases and organizational transitions.
  • Support project closeout by ensuring final performance reports, lessons learned, KPI records, and project statistics are properly documented.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in project reporting, project controls, performance management, or management information.
  • Proven experience on major airport, infrastructure, transportation, engineering, or large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong experience preparing executive-level project reports and performance dashboards.
  • Experience coordinating reporting inputs across large multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, construction progress, cost, schedule, and performance management.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • PMI-SP / AACE PSP / CCP is an advantage.
  • Power BI / Data Analytics certification is highly desirable.
  • Project Controls certification/training is preferred.
  • ISO 9001 / Quality Management training is an advantage.
