Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quality Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to ensure the successful delivery of infrastructure projects through effective quality management, project oversight, and team leadership. This role requires deep expertise in quality assurance, risk management, and project execution, as well as the ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver high-quality results. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence to the organization.
What You'll Be Doing;
- Develop and implement quality management plans for infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry standards.
- Define quality assurance processes, methodologies, and guidelines to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and industry requirements.
- Establish quality control measures and monitor their implementation throughout all phases of infrastructure projects.
- Lead and manage project teams to ensure that quality standards are embedded into the project lifecycle, from planning to execution.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of quality control processes within the project schedule.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet or exceed the required quality benchmarks and client specifications.
- Monitor and assess the quality of all infrastructure work, ensuring compliance with project specifications, regulations, and best practices.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure quality standards are being maintained.
- Address any deviations from quality standards by implementing corrective actions and preventative measures.
- Identify and mitigate quality-related risks early in the project to avoid delays, cost overruns, or non-compliance issues.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and developing strategies for enhanced project quality.
- Promote a culture of quality within the team and across the project lifecycle.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of quality management processes, inspections, audits, and testing.
- Prepare and present detailed quality reports to senior management, stakeholders, and clients, highlighting key quality metrics and any corrective actions taken.
- Maintain accurate records of all quality-related activities for audit purposes and compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related issues and concerns, ensuring effective communication between internal teams, contractors, and clients.
- Collaborate with various departments (e.g., procurement, engineering, safety) to ensure that quality considerations are integrated into all aspects of the project.
- Provide leadership and training to project teams to ensure an understanding of quality expectations and standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of quality control professionals, providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, setting clear objectives and ensuring that quality management goals are met.
- Foster a high-performance team culture, emphasizing accountability, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.
- Ensure that all quality-related documentation is completed and handed over to the client at project completion.
- Oversee the final quality checks and project handover, ensuring that all deliverables meet the agreed-upon quality standards and client expectations.
What Required Skills You'll Bring;
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, ISO 9001) are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in quality management within infrastructure projects, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in project management, quality assurance, and delivering complex infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with quality management standards (ISO 9001) and industry regulations.
- Strong knowledge of quality management processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Experience with risk management and continuous improvement strategies.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and quality management systems (e.g., Procore, Aconex).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess quality data and implement corrective actions.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a cross-functional team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or quality management certifications (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Experience with quality audits and inspections specific to infrastructure and construction projects.
- Knowledge of Lean Construction practices and their application in quality management.
- Proven track record in managing complex, high-value infrastructure projects within budget and on time.
- Ability to navigate and solve issues in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder project environment.
