In this role you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of a major aviation infrastructure program within the EU. Reporting to the Program Director will ensure that all technical, contractual, and operational aspects of the project are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

This position requires demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale infrastructure or aviation projects, with a focus on technical coordination, stakeholder engagement, and seamless integration of design, construction, and operational readiness. The Project Engineer will act as a key liaison between the client, contractors, and consultants, ensuring alignment with program objectives and technical requirements

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight across all phases of the project, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

  • Ensure compliance with project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.

  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex work packages, ensuring seamless integration between design, construction, and operational systems.

  • Manage technical interfaces across project assets, including airside and landside facilities, ensuring effective interface management and resolution of conflicts.

  • Monitor project risks, progress, and KPIs, providing regular reports to the Project Manager and senior leadership.

  • Oversee the preparation and review of technical documentation, ensuring compliance with EU regulatory frameworks and project standards.

  • Support negotiations on scope changes, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and technical feasibility.

  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including coordination with contractors, consultants, government authorities, and other key stakeholders.

  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and innovation.

  • Ensure successful handover of facilities for commissioning and operational readiness, including compliance with certification and regulatory requirements.

  • Promote best practices in engineering, sustainability, and quality management throughout the project lifecycle.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Professional Experience:

  • At least 15 years of professional experience in performing similar duties in large, complex construction projects or in the operation of infrastructure or industrial facilities.

  • Held a similar position for at least two investments with a value of at least EUR 115,000,000 for a total period of not less than 2 years within the last 10 years.

  • Participated in at least one service in the last 15 years that involved supervising construction works for the construction of a new or the extension of an existing airport, airport infrastructure, or airport facilities in the Republic of Poland. This service must relate to construction works with a total value completed or accepted by a certificate of acceptance (within the meaning of FIDIC) or a final acceptance protocol.

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience in airport development, expansion, or major infrastructure projects, including successful handover for commissioning and operation.

  • Certifications: Professional registration or chartership (e.g., PE, CEng, PMP, or equivalent) is required.

  • Language Skills: Fluent in English, with excellent communication and reporting skills

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Strong technical expertise in engineering, construction, and project management for large-scale infrastructure projects.

  • Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate complex technical interfaces.

  • Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in Polish and English.

  • In-depth knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks, safety standards, and sustainability requirements.

  • Proficiency in project management tools, reporting systems, and engineering software.

  • Ability to foster collaboration and innovation within cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality results while maintaining safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.
