Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Engineer to join our team!

In this role, you will join a leading professional engineering, construction, and cost management team working on multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD).  KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh’s new Central Business District that combines a mixture of world-class commercial offices, hotels, retail spaces, and contemporary residences, in addition to smart city solutions that redefine urban living.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures client criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines. Expedites the distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and Project Manager.
• Leading an in-house design team of different backgrounds to provide different services such as detailed design, technical assessments, and
  design reviews.
• Reviewing designs & Shop drawings, plans, and reports to ensure constant compliance with project specifications.
• Managing diverse types of projects centred around electrical systems upgrades, buildings, and facilities, including initiating, planning,
  executing and close-out stages.
• Conducting technical assessments of different equipment and systems to ensure asset integrity and efficiency.
• Coordinating with various stakeholders, clients, and contractors to ensure successful project achievements.
• Coordinating between all trades conducting surveys & site investigation.
• Working on RFI, RFP, RFQ, PR, and PO.
• Prepares technical reports and documentation of activity for the client and project management.
• Obtains, analyzes, and circulates technical and contractual information to project disciplines.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
• Carry out complete Electrical Systems discipline designs to the required standards and quality.
• Develop Electrical deliverables for all phases of a project, including conceptual design, preliminary design, and detailed design.
• Develop the design of medium and low voltage facility power distribution systems from the electric utility interface point.
• Develop the design of emergency and uninterruptible power generation and distribution systems.
• Develop the design of miscellaneous Electrical systems such as lighting, grounding, electrical heat tracing, fire alarm, public address, security, card access, etc.
• Develop typical Electrical engineering and design drawings, such as: single line diagrams; power, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and other systems plans; electrical area classification plans; electrical equipment arrangement plans; cable tray layout plans and sections; conduit and cable schedules; motor control schematics.
• Develop typical Electrical specifications such as: electrical equipment (MV/LV switchgear, MCC’s, power transformers, standby/backup generators, UPSs, etc.); electrical installation – general requirements, testing, and commodities.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field 3-5+ years of experience in various projects, involving design, construction & handover. Professional Engineer registration required.
