Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Engineer -Infrastructure (Saudi National) to join our team! In this role you will get to the planning and delivery of electrical systems for one of the Kingdom’s most prestigious airport developments. You will coordinate between design, construction, and stakeholder teams to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant infrastructure execution in line with KSIA’s high standards.
What You'll Be Doing;
- Support the design development of power utility corridors, substation layouts, and underground cabling systems (380 kV / 132 kV / 13.8 kV).
- Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews, ensuring alignment with terminal and landside electrical load requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants and review shop drawings, IFC packages, and cable routing plans.
- Oversee daily site activities for trenching, duct bank installation, cable laying, and substation construction.
- Assist in converting overhead lines to underground systems in coordination with the contractor and SEC guidelines.
- Monitor progress and escalate delays or risks to the Dry Utilities team for resolution.
- Coordinate with SEC, National Grid, and relevant utility providers to secure corridor clearances, approvals, and energization timelines.
- Support documentation for power applications, load letters, and NOC requests.
- Attend technical meetings with authorities, EPC contractors, and internal KSIA teams.
- Supervise installation of BSPs, PSSs, transformers, switchgear, and backup power systems across terminal and airside facilities.
- Ensure testing, commissioning, and energization plans are in place and aligned with project delivery milestones.
- Assist in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and procurement packages for power infrastructure components.
- Track expenditures and variations related to the electrical works in collaboration with the commercial team.
- Monitor adherence to international standards, SEC regulations, and site safety practices during all electrical works.
- Conduct inspections and document punch lists during construction and commissioning stages.
- Maintain updated documentation including redlines, site inspection reports, as-built drawings, and test certificates.
- Submit regular progress reports and highlight any technical issues, delays, or dependencies requiring management input.
What Required Skills You'll bring;
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in power utility projects, ideally with at least 3–5 years on aviation or mega infrastructure programs in the region.
- Strong knowledge of power system design, substation implementation, and grid connectivity.
- Familiarity with SEC/NG standards, permitting, and interface management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera P6, ETAP, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Working knowledge of SCADA, UPS systems, and redundancy strategies for critical airport loads.
- Project Management certification (PMP) is an advantage.
- Experience with BIM coordination for infrastructure corridors.
- Prior involvement in Energization Coordination and Utility Relocation programs is highly desirable.
