Job Description:

The Gateway Development Commission is looking for a team member who will manage the implementation of its Project Development Agreement (PDA) with its project partners. The PDA outlines how the partners will work together as they deliver a major infrastructure project (the new railroad tunnel under the Hudson River) for the New York Region. The PDA established two committees to guide and manage project delivery: an executive level Senior Project Coordination Committee (SPCC) and a Technical Standards Committee (TSC).

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Implement and maintain the PDA (Product Development Agreement) Tracking Program.
  • Implement and maintain procedures and policies related to PDA requirements. These include requirements for regular reporting on the scope, schedule, and budget of the entire Hudson Tunnel project.
  • Lead/manage the development of SPCC Monthly Meetings, including the scheduling/noticing of meetings, agenda development, presentation development, and distribution of meeting minutes.
  • Lead/manage the development of TSC Monthly Meetings in coordination with Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Office, including the scheduling/noticing of meetings, agenda development, presentation development, and distribution of meeting materials.
  • Maintain the SPCC and TSC Team websites and Rosters.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 + years of related experience working on major infrastructure projects.  Must be detail-oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for coordinating with a wide range of stakeholders and project partners.
  • General understanding of how large capital projects are delivered, including tracking project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access Database.
  • Assignments will require a working knowledge of electronic document management systems.
  • Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management.

Salary Range: 

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
