Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Control Engineer/Specialist, Airports to join our team! In this role you will get to serve in a key role in the project controls / project management team on a major program.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Drives the development of the Project Information Management System (PAR-Docs, PAR-LINK®, Unifier, third party software) and enforcement of project documents, processes, and procedures required to support complex projects.
- Systems Life Cycle Development – data and functional requirements, data models, system overviews, Master Program Schedule development using Primavera P6 and MS Project, Portfolio Reporting/data management .
- Project Management Methodology – progress reporting, risk and issue tracking and resolution, project resource planning, and schedule review.
- Business Process Modeling – business performance management, organizational design, and business risk management capabilities to formulate pragmatic, forward facing, actionable business transformation plans.
- Requires knowledge of structured analysis, object analysis and business process improvement methodologies with demonstrated experience using methodologies to successful operational results.
- Provides back-up support for Project Management administration of project meetings, action items, and resources of designated project initiatives.
- Briefs all levels of project and client bases with business process development knowledge industry best practices.
- May provide training to technical and project staff.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.- Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems.
- Analyzes, evaluates, and forecasts current status against an established baseline schedule.
- Assesses the impact(s) of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
- Reports status of schedule to appropriate project and Company management as well to the client.
- Understands and applies engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.
- Develops and maintains critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information.
- Accumulates historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
- Provides input to Sr. Project Control Staff regarding staffing requirements.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- - Requires an in-depth knowledge of the business process, systems, organizational structure, client and industry requirements to properly convey, articulate and document business requirements, rules, and procedures in accordance with project standards.
- Knowledge and application of Parsons’ policies and procedures.
- Knowledge and understanding of any legal contractual obligations for deliverables to the client.
- Competency in documenting text and diagrams for business requirements, business processes, date models (Microsoft Visio or equivalent).
- Must demonstrate the ability to drive excellence in field of information management analysis, focusing on improvement of processes, compliance, and training. Must be capable of conducting focused briefings to all levels of management. Must also demonstrate the ability to effectively execute and manage complex tasks. This includes effective problem solving and exercising excellent judgment regarding timing and senior management involvement in significant issues. Must demonstrate the ability to accomplish projects and assigned tasks on time and within budget. Skills include developing a team, leading meetings, collaborating with all stakeholders, developing and managing schedules and budgets, and coordinating/managing team members to ensure tasks are completed as required.
- Thorough knowledge of MS Windows Unifier, Master Program Schedule development using Primavera P6 and MS Project, Portfolio Reporting/data management and SharePoint architecture.
- Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. Excellent writing and editing skills required.
