Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Process Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, optimization, and improvement of wastewater treatment processes. This role is integral to ensuring the efficiency and compliance of our wastewater systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the design and development of innovative wastewater treatment processes.
- Conduct Septicity Analysis through WATS model enabled software analysis and strategize odor control and management in pumping stations.
- Conduct process simulations and troubleshooting.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for process control.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize system performance.
- Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to wastewater treatment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related field. A master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or licensed Professional Engineer (PE) from UK, USA or European affiliations or equivalent accepted by Qatar is required.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in process engineering within the wastewater industry.
- Proven experience in leading large-scale projects from conception to completion.
- Familiarity with Qatar environmental regulations pertaining to wastewater treatment.
- MME registration is preferred but will be required upon hiring.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of chemical/biological processes used in wastewater treatment.
- Proficiency in using process simulation software. Required to have working knowledge of WATS software.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results -
