Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Port Expert / Team Leader to lead and provide strategic direction across the independent engineering port project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team, overseeing project execution, and ensuring the successful delivery of port and terminal infrastructure projects in accordance with technical, contractual, and client requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team across all project disciplines.

  • Oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with technical, contractual, and client requirements.

  • Provide strategic direction and technical guidance on port and terminal infrastructure.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the client to ensure efficient project delivery.

  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and best practices.

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Support review and validation of engineering designs and deliverables across disciplines.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BEng, BSc) or equivalent.

  • Minimum 25 years of professional experience, including at least 15 years of experience in port, marine, or terminal infrastructure projects.

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex infrastructure projects.

  • Strong knowledge of port infrastructure, marine works, terminal operations, and associated engineering disciplines.

  • Demonstrated experience in project management, design review, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and quality assurance processes.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational capabilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, complex, and deadline-driven project environments.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

  • Experience serving as Team Leader, Project Director, Independent Engineer, or similar leadership role on major port and terminal developments.

  • Professional Engineering certification, chartership, or equivalent professional accreditation.

  • Experience working on international port, marine, or transportation infrastructure projects.

  • Familiarity with PPP, concession, or design-build project delivery models.

  • Knowledge of regional and international port authority regulations, standards, and operational requirements.

  • Experience managing diverse stakeholder groups across public and private sector organizations.
