Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Electrical Inspector to join our team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide engineering solutions from concept design through to detail design, including consultation/ report preparation and review in the field of electrical earthing and bonding.
• Assist the construction phase by providing ongoing design support.
• Taking responsibility and Work with the team to put together design tenders.
• Perform review of earthing and bonding designs produced by other team members for those areas that you have been assessed with the applicable competency.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant IEC/EN/IEEE/ SEC Standards and industry guidelines
• Supervision and mentoring of more junior team members assisting in design process.
• Good experience in earthing & bonding, electrolysis and lightning protection designs for Power systems/railway AC-DC traction systems and/or projects.
• In-depth knowledge of the effects of DC stray current corrosion and EMI/EMC, and appropriate mitigation measures.
• Understanding the client requirements and preparing the tender proposals.
• Good experience in High Voltage and Low Voltage earth grid design.
• Good experience in Lightning Risk assessment/Lightning protection system design.
• Soil resistivity / Earth grid resistance testing for substations/railways will be an added advantage.
• Proficient user of CDEGS/Equivalent software for the earthing design simulation

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University/ Institution.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects preferably in the GCC. Ability to read and interpret drawings, construction specifications and processes related to electrical inspection. Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently.
