Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our infrastructure construction supervision project team. As a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting with the development and management of project schedules, monitoring progress, and providing support to the project team in managing time, resources, and costs effectively. This role is critical to ensuring that all project phases, including roads, tunnels, bridges, and utilities, are completed according to the established timelines.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assist in the development, maintenance, and monitoring of project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or other scheduling software.

• Help create detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and baseline schedules for the infrastructure project.

• Track project progress against the schedule, identifying potential delays or risks and suggesting corrective actions to keep the project on track.

• Monitor and report on project milestones, resource allocation, and key deliverables.

• Provide regular updates on project schedule performance, including critical path analysis and resource utilization.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all activities are aligned with the project timeline and resources are allocated efficiently.

• Assist with the identification and analysis of project risks and issues, ensuring that timely mitigation measures are put in place.

• Prepare and update weekly and monthly progress reports, highlighting key achievements, delays, and forecasted completion dates.

• Support the Planning Manager in the development of project schedules and reporting for client meetings and presentations.

• Ensure all schedule-related documentation is properly maintained and stored according to project standards.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer, ideally in large-scale infrastructure construction projects such as roads, bridges, tunnels, and utilities.

• Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.

• Strong understanding of construction processes, resource management, and schedule development.

• Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and present it clearly to project stakeholders.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Fluent in English (both written and verbal); proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

• Ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Experience working on infrastructure projects in the GCC region, particularly roads, tunnels, bridges, and utilities.

• Knowledge of local construction industry standards and practices.

• Experience with risk management and schedule optimization techniques.
