Job Description:

Location: Camp Smith, HI

Clearance Needed: Secret

Are you ready for a challenge that will keep you on the edge of the US military’s use of data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI)? Do you have experience in the cross-sections of academic and industry outreach to bring in capabilities, and training advanced data and AI topics? Imagine yourself working on a top-level, critical mission alongside other seasoned professionals. Parsons is now hiring an Outreach and Training Specialist with a passion for improving the customer’s awareness, uptake, and upskilling of data analysis and AI uses.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Proficient in data analytic concepts and frameworks, in addition to leading edge AI utility within the DoD
• Update and maintain course material and training topics, instruct and lead periods of instruction
• Coordinate engagements with academia and industry to lead awareness and implementation of data and AI solutions
• Educate and mentor customer personnel on advanced data literacy and AI utility in alignment with DoD requirements and industry best practices
• Comfortably communicate with staff; collaborate with stakeholders to integrate considerations into project planning and execution
• Explain complex, technically difficult information in an easily understood manner to technical and non-technical audiences
• Capable of intuitively solving complex problems, working independently, and with minimal guidance
• Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail

Required Education/Experience:

• 5+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; will consider experience in lieu of degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Education, Data Science, Computer Science, or Information Systems; advanced degrees (e.g., Master’s or PhD) are highly desirable.
• Demonstrable experience as a trainer, instructor, etc.
• Possess a strong data analytics or computer science background; experience with big-data and AI/ML concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Active DoD Secret-level security clearance

Preferred Experience:

• Prior military experience supporting US INDOPACOM activities
• Experience with Palantir platforms (Foundry, Gotham) for data integration, management, and analysis
• Experience collaborating with academic institutions or industry partners to deliver training programs.
• Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
