Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Network Engineer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Designs and defines system architecture for Cisco and Avaya based voice infrastructure/end-points and Compunetix Mission Voice Platform (MVP), to include cross site NETS and IP Spans.
  • Maintain the existing Cisco and Avaya VoIP environment for various models of Cisco and Avaya phones.
  • Provision instruments, support call scheduling, end-point troubleshooting, real-time launch console support, and end-user training.
  • Participate in launch ICE and dress rehearsals.
  • Architecting solutions within the Cisco family of products that may include: CUCM, IM and Presence, Unity, Meeting Servers, Expressway, Meeting Management, Jabber client.
  • Tier 3 Network support of Cisco and Juniper equipment in support of Mission Critical Voice CAN/LAN/WAN.
  • Develop and document Voice and Mission Critical Voice SOPs for engineers and Knowledge Base articles for end-users.
  • Work with industry providers from other Government agencies and commercial providers to ensure seamless call performance.
  • Identifies and resolves technical problems related to the installation, upgrade and daily operations of the customer’s globally dispersed VoIP infrastructure.
  • Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients.
  • Design and migration of existing TDM solutions leveraging Session Border Controller technology.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Call Manager, Cisco Meeting Server, and Cisco Meeting Manager.
  • Experience with Cisco Jabber.
  • Experience with Cisco Telepresence Management Suite and Cisco Expressways is desired.
  • Experience with the configuration of voice end-point hardware.
  • Experience with Avaya Call Management System would be beneficial, but not required.
  • Experience with VMware ESXI platform.
  • Experience with designing QoS policies over WAN.
  • Experience with engineering and maintaining Compunetix Mission Voice Platform. (desired)
  • Experience with Cisco IOS.
  • Experience with Juniper JUNOS.
  • Experience with PBX is desired.
  • Experience with TDM and SBC.
  • Experience building/managing servers in the AWS (Amazon Web Services) environment is desired.
  • Experience with managing work tasks via tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow.
  • System configuration based on security guidelines such as DISA STIGs.
  • CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification.

Salary Range: $120,800.00 - $217,400.00
