Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented Motor Track Interface Coordinator to join our team! In this role you will manage the technical, regulatory, and spatial coordination between motor track infrastructure and adjacent development zones within a major development program in Qatar.
As Motor Track Interface Coordinator, you will act as the primary liaison with international motorsport governing bodies and project stakeholders to ensure the circuit design, associated infrastructure, and surrounding developments comply with global motorsport standards while supporting safe and efficient event operations.
What You'll Be Doing:
Manage the coordination of technical, regulatory, and spatial interfaces between motor track infrastructure and adjoining project zones.
Serve as the primary liaison with FIA and FIM officials, ensuring all circuit works and adjacent developments comply with international motorsport standards.
Act as the point of contact on behalf of the Client with FIA/FIM delegates, managing inspections, approvals, and compliance workflows.
Coordinate closely with track designers, civil contractors, MEP engineers, and PMCM teams to ensure circuit geometry, safety barriers, pit buildings, and supporting infrastructure meet required standards.
Manage the interface alignment between motor track works and adjacent developments, including stadium facilities, hospitality zones, entertainment venues, and supporting infrastructure.
Oversee design reviews and resolve coordination challenges related to track construction and staging logistics.
Ensure proper placement of emergency access routes, marshal posts, run-off areas, lighting systems, fencing, and spectator safety zones in accordance with FIA/FIM requirements.
Lead FIA/FIM pre-homologation inspections and manage the resolution of all Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Coordinate the transition strategy between temporary and permanent infrastructure used for racing and event operations (e.g., media zones, paddock layout, hospitality areas).
Support event operations planning to ensure race-day readiness across all motor track interfaces.
Participate in Value Engineering (VE), BIM coordination, and simulation reviews related to circuit design and event movement.
Maintain updated interface risk registers, coordination matrices, interface dashboards, and regulatory compliance trackers.
What Required Skills/Qualfications You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Motorsport Engineering, or Project Management from an accredited institution.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience working on motor racing circuit or Formula 1 / MotoGP track projects.
Proven experience coordinating technical interfaces between motor track infrastructure and adjacent development zones.
Strong knowledge of FIA and FIM circuit regulations, safety standards, and homologation requirements.
Experience coordinating with design consultants, contractors, regulatory authorities, and project management teams.
Demonstrated capability managing multidisciplinary coordination involving civil works, infrastructure systems, MEP, and architectural elements.
Experience overseeing design reviews, technical coordination workshops, and interface resolution processes.
Strong knowledge of track safety infrastructure including barriers, run-off areas, marshal locations, lighting systems, and spectator safety zones.
Experience managing pre-homologation inspections, compliance reviews, and resolution of non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Understanding of event infrastructure planning including paddock layouts, media zones, hospitality facilities, and operational logistics.
Proven ability to manage interface coordination across complex developments involving multiple stakeholders.
Experience with BIM coordination platforms, interface management tools, and digital collaboration systems.
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills to effectively work with international governing bodies, consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
