Job Description:

Parsons are looking for a Mechanical Inspector to join our Project in Riyadh.

Under general supervision, performs difficult and sometimes complex inspection tasks. Inspects various facets of construction work on the jobsite and perform continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities including roles taken in charge during the defect Liability Period (DLP) to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, specifications, and client expectations.

This is an onsite role to provide gaudiness and supervision for all Mechanical, plumbing, and firefighting systems, testing & commissioning, handover, and DLP requirements. 

Position will primarily work in a field setting.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Conducts inspections and tests to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications.
• Get involved in monitoring, inspection, coordination, witnessing and documentation of all works of the project
• Oversee and inspect all mechanical, plumbing, and firefighting systems work and ensure that installation activities comply with contractual obligations and quality control standards
• Attend to Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner
• Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations and writes daily diaries.
• Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract
• Verifies that only approved materials are incorporated in the work
• Reports on installed quantities to verify applications for payment and change order work
• Recognizes potential conflicts, issues and problems, and reports to supervisor with proposed solution
• May provide technical guidance to junior inspectors
• Participates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports
• Participate in the development of quality control reports and procedures
• Coordinate the work to ensure successful hand-over of the project
• Stay in contact with the operating team and ensure all the systems are working properly.
• Follow up with the contractors to repair all the defects on spot.
• Ensure following up with the contractor to ensure closing all the open Defect Notice Forms (DNFs) issued by the operation team.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• 7+ years’ experience
• We are looking for mechanical, Plumbing, and firefighting candidates that preferably have an TESTING & Commissioning, and handover  understanding the related requirements,
• Experience dealing with the client facility management team, and able to managing contractors and their subcontractors.
• Ability to use and interpret contract documents, drawings, schedule, and quality control plans relating to complex construction projects, specifically P&ID drawings, single-line diagrams, and conduit schedules.
• Requires being on-site 100% of the time to provide continuous oversight

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with infrastructure and building projects.
• Experience working with multiple partners and clients facility management teams.
