You will be responsible for the design review, technical supervision, and successful implementation of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and specialized piping for major infrastructure and building projects. Your expertise will ensure that all mechanical installations are sustainable, efficient, and fully compliant with both international standards and the Kingdom’s evolving building codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Review: Conduct comprehensive reviews of mechanical design drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure technical accuracy and constructability.

  • System Supervision: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems, pumping stations, fire suppression systems, and internal piping networks.

  • Contractor Management: Monitor contractor performance on-site, ensuring that mechanical works align with approved Method Statements and project schedules.

  • Compliance: Verify that all mechanical equipment and installations adhere to the Saudi Building Code (SBC), NFPA standards, and LEED sustainability requirements where applicable.

  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve complex mechanical engineering challenges on-site, providing technical guidance to mitigate delays and optimize system performance.

  • Material Inspection: Review and approve material submittals and equipment for mechanical systems, ensuring they meet the specified quality and performance benchmarks.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.

  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or industrial projects.

  • Professional Membership: Registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and building services. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP (for load calculations), and Revit MEP.

Preferred Skills

  • Language: Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) for effective communication with stakeholders and technical reporting.

  • Certifications: PMP certification or LEED Green Associate/AP status is a significant advantage.

  • Analytical Thinking: Highly developed analytical skills to evaluate complex mechanical systems and identify value-engineering opportunities.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams (Civil, Electrical, and Architecture).
