PROJECT:
Parsons is managing a Technical Services (TS) program for an agency within the Department of Defense to review third party A/E work; conduct studies, analysis, testing and measuring; perform specialized engineering services, planning and design reviews; commissioning services; and construction oversight on worldwide delivery orders.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Parsons is seeking an Civil AutoCAD SME to perform the following:
- Manage and maintain the client’s Civil Master Drawings files in accordance with USACE AEC CAD Standards.
- Conduct Site Surveys to verify as-built conditions and incorporate them into the Master Drawings CAD files.
- Track and organize facility changes to the CAD data holdings.
- Operate as the expert for all system architecture and data management related to design file creation, organization, securing, and distribution.
- Coordinates work with engineering and construction teams to ensure project data is of the quality required to support the Master Drawings CAD files.
- Provide advanced technical guidance, support project teams, and drive best practices in CAD design and Vault.
- Utilize knowledge of AutoCAD to create and enforce CAD templates, layer standards, and block libraries.
- Analyze and document existing workflows related to Vault and AutoCAD usage.
- Mange drawing file relationships, user access permissions, and resolve technical issues.
- Develop standardized operating procedures, work instructions, and process maps.
- Lead software training related to AutoCAD and Vault in alignment with the Master Drawings Standards.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to streamline CAD and data management operations.
- Maintain and update process documentation to reflect changes in software, regulations, or business requirements.
- Perform CAD and Vault projects and other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associated degree in is preferred with at least 12 years of relevant experience
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required
- Must be US Citizen
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Skilled in the application of architectural design standards, practices, techniques, and concepts.
- Proven expertise utilizing AutoCAD and Vault.
- Knowledge of architectural, m, and electrical disciplines. Experience in structural and civil disciplines a plus.
- Familiarity with current USACE AEC CAD Standards preferred.
- Proven expertise in AutoCAD, Vault, and other software packages typically associated with architectural design is also required.
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as BIM and Revit a plus.
- Strong analytical and process improvement skills.
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
