Lead Water Reservoir / Storage Design Engineer

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Water Reservoir / Storage Design Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to design and optimize water storage systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of functionality, safety, and sustainability.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the structural design of water storage systems, including reservoirs, tanks, and other storage facilities, ensuring they meet operational and regulatory requirements.
• Implement hydraulic principles into structural design to optimize the performance and functionality of water storage solutions.
• Integrate innovative design concepts and advanced technologies into storage system designs, focusing on efficiency and sustainability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality requirements as mandated by relevant regulatory bodies.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to implement best practices in water storage system design.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Degree in Structural / Civil Engineering qualified with relevant professional status (CEng/PE).
• Minimum of 20 years of demonstrable relevant experience in designing water storage systems, including reservoirs, tanks, and storage facilities, with proficiency in structural design, material selection, and knowledge of construction methodologies.
• Profound understanding of hydraulic principles essential for evaluating flow dynamics, pressure requirements, and optimizing the performance and functionality of water storage systems.
• Ability to integrate innovative design concepts and advanced technologies, staying updated on industry trends, and implementing sustainable design practices for efficient and eco-friendly storage solutions.
• Experience with design software and tools relevant to water storage system modeling and analysis (e.g., AutoCAD, SAP2000, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines governing water storage system design, with effective collaboration abilities to work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and team members effectively.
• Must be registered with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) in Qatar.
