Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a Lead Facility Assessor to lead and perform facility condition assessments for PG&E facilities throughout California. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing assessment teams, coordinating onsite fieldwork, supporting client relationships, and ensuring high-quality, accurate facility data and reports.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience conducting facility assessments and leading teams in utility, institutional, industrial, campus, government, or comparable environments.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform onsite facility condition assessments of building systems and components.
  • Manage, mentor, and coordinate a team of facility assessors.
  • Develop fieldwork schedules, staffing plans, work plans, and project deliverables.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for PG&E and other client stakeholders.
  • Monitor project budgets, labor hours, schedules, resources, and overall performance.
  • Support change management efforts related to processes, systems, data standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Evaluate building conditions, remaining service life, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Develop assessment narratives and recommendations to support cost estimates and capital planning.
  • Review drawings, specifications, maintenance records, and other facility documentation.
  • Ensure data is complete, accurate, consistent, and aligned with established data structures and UNIFORMAT II standards.
  • Perform quality control reviews of field assessments, data entry, cost information, and reports.
  • Prepare and review assessment findings, dashboards, status reports, and client deliverables.
  • Mentor assessors and promote consistent assessment methods and quality standards.
  • Travel to PG&E facilities throughout California, including Davis, Eureka, Fresno, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, Stockton, West Sacramento, and Chico/Paradise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or construction-related field (or equivalent)
  • 10+ years related work experience and
  • 3+ years in a leadership role at a field site
  • Demonstrated experience leading or managing facility assessors, inspectors, engineers, or technical teams.
  • Experience managing client relationships and communicating with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with scheduling, budgeting, resource planning, and project controls.
  • Experience supporting change management and implementing new processes or systems.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and life safety systems.
  • Experience with facility condition assessments, corrective action recommendations, remaining service-life evaluations, and cost estimating.
  • Experience managing structured facility and asset data.
  • Knowledge of UNIFORMAT II or comparable facility classification standards.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct hands-on onsite assessments and travel regularly throughout California.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional license or certification, such as PE, RA, CCM, CFM, or comparable credential.
  • Experience with utility, energy, industrial, institutional, government, or large campus facilities.
  • Familiarity with facility management, asset management, CMMS, CAFM, IWMS, GIS, BIM, or enterprise asset management systems.
  • Experience developing assessment procedures, data dictionaries, quality plans, or standard operating procedures.

Business travel expenses, including mileage, will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
