Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Estimator - Civil (Saudi National) to join our team! In this role you will get to lead the estimation of civil and building projects, providing accurate cost estimates, managing a team of estimators, and ensuring that all estimates align with project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
What You'll be Doing:
Cost Estimation for Civil and Building Projects: Lead the development of detailed cost estimates for civil and building work, including earthworks, foundations, structural elements, and finishes, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of estimators, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and timely delivery of estimates for civil and building projects.
Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather data, develop estimates, and ensure that all project specifications and client expectations are met.
Budget Management: Ensure estimates are completed within the allocated budget, actively managing and mitigating any risks that could affect project financials.
Market Analysis: Research and analyze current market rates for materials, labor, and equipment to ensure estimates are based on the most up-to-date information.
Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential risks in civil and building projects related to scope, timing, and costs, and recommend strategies for risk mitigation.
Client Interaction: Present estimates and cost justifications to clients and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and understanding in the estimation process.
Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve estimating processes and methodologies, implementing best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall project cost-effectiveness.
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on estimation status, changes, and any issues that may impact project cost or delivery timelines.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
Experience: At least 10+ years of experience in estimating civil and building projects, with a strong background in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
Leadership: Proven experience managing and leading a team of estimators, ensuring successful project delivery and high-quality cost estimates.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy in estimating complex civil and building projects.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring clarity in the estimation process.
Tools & Technologies: Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., CostX, Procore, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
What desired Skills You'll Bring:
Certification in Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or equivalent in construction estimating.
Experience in Lean Construction or sustainable building practices.
Familiarity with civil and building work regulations and industry standards.
