Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Landside Delivery Manager-Water to join our team! In this role you will get to oversee all aspects of landside infrastructure and water management systems for a major airport project.
With 20 years of experience, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, deep technical expertise, and a solid track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects on time and within budget. This role will focus on ensuring that the airport’s water systems and landside operations meet the highest quality standards while addressing environmental sustainability and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Be Doing;
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of water systems including stormwater drainage, potable water, and wastewater systems in the airport environment.
- Ensure the functionality and sustainability of water systems, addressing both immediate operational needs and long-term infrastructure goals.
- Work to optimize water efficiency and environmental sustainability across the airport’s infrastructure.
- Lead the development of project budgets, ensuring proper allocation of resources and financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure they remain within allocated budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities where appropriate.
- Report financial progress to senior leadership, providing regular updates on budget performance and forecasts.
- Identify potential risks to project timelines, budgets, and quality, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Develop and enforce quality assurance protocols to ensure that all project work meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed on-site, promoting a culture of safety among contractors and employees.
- Lead a multidisciplinary project team, providing direction, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
- Conduct performance reviews and support team members in achieving project milestones and professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative environment to promote innovative thinking and efficient problem-solving.
- Create and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet deadlines.
- Work with contractors and project teams to ensure that work is completed on time and any project delays are addressed swiftly.
- Ensure the optimal use of materials, equipment, and labor resources to maintain project efficiency.
- Ensure all landside infrastructure projects comply with local and international codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
- Monitor ongoing compliance with airport safety and operational standards, ensuring minimal disruption to airport activities.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance throughout project phases.
- Champion the integration of new technologies and innovative solutions in landside infrastructure development.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline project delivery and enhance operational efficiency.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and technological advancements to ensure the project benefits from cutting-edge solutions.
- Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management, airport authorities, and external stakeholders on project progress, risks, and performance.
- Provide regular updates on project milestones, budgets, and potential issues to ensure stakeholder alignment and satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, ensuring transparency and fostering collaboration.
What Required Skills You'll Bring;
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in infrastructure project management, specifically in landside and water infrastructure for large-scale airport projects.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects, including water systems, drainage, stormwater, and utilities within the aviation sector.
- Experience in working with multiple stakeholders, including government authorities, contractors, and consultants.
- Strong technical expertise in water infrastructure systems, including stormwater management, drainage, and water treatment.
- Extensive experience in project management, with an understanding of risk management, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and a solid understanding of construction and engineering processes.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, or LEED accreditation.
- Expertise in international infrastructure standards (e.g., ICAO, FAA, and local airport regulations).
- Previous experience working on large-scale airport infrastructure projects, especially related to landside development and water systems.
- Knowledge of sustainable design and green building practices for water and landside infrastructure projects.
- Ability to manage and adapt to changing project scopes, designs, and stakeholder needs in a fast-paced environment.
