Job Description:
****To qualify for this role, you must be able to deploy and be on long-term assignment on Kwajalein Island in the Marshall Islands.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Performs essential tasks involving manual labor required in the construction and renovation of family housing units. The incumbent must exercise good interpersonal and technical skills while adhering to required safety standards.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers by performing basic tasks including loading and unloading materials, cleaning job sites, and preparing work areas.
- Follows blueprints, building plans, and sketches to meet the needs of clients.
- Operates hand and power tools of all types, including air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
- Mixes, pours, and spreads concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials.
- Adheres to safety regulations.
- Erects and disassembles scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures.
- Assists in the installation of windows, doors, cabinetry, and other fixtures.
- Serves as part of a functional team or works independently to complete assignments according to scheduled deadlines.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position, as appropriate.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ years of related work experience in construction labor.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Good oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of construction tools and equipment
- Consistency and clarity in conformance with required safety standards and delivery of supervised work
Physical Requirements:
- Physically must be able to lift up to 75 pounds to overhead position.
- Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work dayshift or nightshift.
- Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather condition.
- Ability to Relocate: Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
