Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Junior Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to You will work with an established team of experienced engineers, scientists, and developers to turn concepts into reality in support of the Warfighter. Formulate innovative solutions to problems -- then design, build, and integrate them.
For this opportunity we're looking for a dedicated individual with technical skills to support a wide variety of possible tasks supporting our current and emerging projects. The successful candidate will be willing to learn on the job, take on any task, and work to make the team a success. This opportunity is located within the US Army's Picatinny Arsenal near Wharton, NJ.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Aid project engineers in support management and the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) of remote weapon stations (wireless and robotic).
- Embed with USG-led Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participate in planning and tracking activities as required.
- Support technical documentation reviews and configuration management activities.
- Review technical drawings using SolidWorks and Creo.
- Assist in the mechanical design and modification of parts and components of remote weapon stations utilizing Creo.
- Support component and system level tests, perform root cause analysis, and correct deficiencies with remote weapon stations and robotics.
- Assist in performing physical integration of hardware, configuration mapping, and associated troubleshooting of remote weapon stations and robotics.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Basic knowledge of entry-level Mechanical and Robotics Engineering.
- Be enrolled in an Engineering curriculum with an accredited College or University.
- Institutional knowledge/experience with Root Cause Analysis and Configuration Mapping.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks and Creo software packages.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
