Irrigation Engineer

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Irrigation Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to plan, schedule and supervise the operation and maintenance work in the infrastructure and park projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Inspect and maintain irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, bubbler).

• Conduct pressure tests and hydraulic troubleshooting.

• Monitor water quality and improve irrigation efficiency

• Prepare irrigation logs, water reports, pump performance reports.

• Audit Responsibilities

• Conduct irrigation audits in all DRM cities to verify efficiency and compliance.

• Independently develops and/or supervises the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.

• Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.

• Provides support for other engineering activities as required. 

• Supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.

• Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower level Engineers working on the same project

• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• B.Sc. Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 12 years of practical O&M experiences – agriculture or mechanical certificate

• Have full and complete knowledge of existing infrastructure Networks in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi

• Knowledge and work experience pipelines, connection Chambers and Pumping Station works, non-disruptive road crossings is required

• Experience in dealing with emergency works and ability to deal with the Public and coordinate with various infrastructure Authorities related to the Projects

• Exceptional articulate communication skills both verbal and written.

• Experience advising client of best systems, materials, products and sustainability for irrigation/water feature systems

• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft and CAD.
