Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Interface Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to ensure the smooth coordination and integration of various systems, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of complex airport infrastructure projects.
This role is key to identifying and managing interface-related risks, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining clear communication to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage and oversee all interfaces between various contractors, subcontractors, systems, and stakeholders involved in the airport project.
- Ensure smooth integration between different engineering disciplines (e.g., civil, electrical, mechanical), contractors, and other external partners.
- Facilitate the communication and coordination of all project teams to avoid delays, conflicts, and issues during the project lifecycle.
- Identify, document, and manage critical interfaces between different systems and processes involved in airport infrastructure development.
- Coordinate and track the resolution of interface issues, ensuring that any risks or delays are mitigated and managed efficiently.
- Ensure that interfaces meet technical, schedule, and budgetary requirements and are in alignment with overall project objectives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all interface-related matters for project stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and the client.
- Work closely with various internal teams and external partners to ensure that all requirements are met for each system or interface.
- Provide clear communication regarding the impact of any interface issues and the necessary steps to address them.
- .Ensure that all interface-related documents, reports, and correspondence are well-maintained, accurate, and up to date.
- Maintain a centralized interface management database or document control system to track the status of interface items, issues, and resolutions.
- Provide regular interface status updates and reports to senior management and project stakeholders.
- Proactively identify risks associated with project interfaces and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays or disruptions.
- Work with the project team to monitor and manage interface-related risks, ensuring timely identification and resolution of potential conflicts or issues.
- Take ownership of and resolve any interface-related issues, such as delays, conflicts, or technical challenges, by coordinating with the relevant teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure effective problem-solving processes are in place and that any issues are escalated appropriately for timely resolution.
- Ensure all interface processes, activities, and deliverables comply with relevant standards, regulations, and specifications, including those specific to airport operations and safety.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of the work performed in relation to interfaces, ensuring that work meets project requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and implement strategies for managing and coordinating interfaces effectively across various project phases, from design to construction and commissioning.
- Create and implement plans to resolve complex interface issues and ensure that all systems are integrated properly in a timely manner.
What Required Skills You'll Bring;
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in interface management, preferably within large-scale infrastructure or airport projects.
- Proven experience managing multiple interfaces between systems, disciplines, and stakeholders in complex projects.
- In-depth understanding of interface management processes, tools, and techniques.
- Strong technical knowledge of airport systems, operations, and infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple interfaces simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and ensure coordination across teams.
- Ability to anticipate and address challenges in project integration, ensuring smooth communication across disciplines.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or equivalent.
- Experience with interface management software or tools (e.g., Aconex, Procore, or similar platforms).
- Knowledge of airport industry standards, regulations, and operational needs.
- Experience working on airport development, expansion, or modernization projects.
