Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Innovation & Continuous Improvement Lead (Saudi National) to join our team!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Innovation Leadership:
Lead the identification and development of innovative solutions to enhance project performance, reduce costs, and improve quality across all phases of the project.
Explore and implement cutting-edge technologies, methodologies, and tools that can drive project success and transform business practices.
Foster a culture of innovation and encourage team members to think creatively and contribute to the identification of new ideas and processes that can benefit the project.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify, evaluate, and implement innovative approaches that align with project goals.
Continuous Improvement Strategy:
Develop and lead a Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency across the project.
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
Use Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant methodologies to identify areas of inefficiency and develop solutions to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that continuous improvement principles are embedded into the project culture and execution.
Process Optimization and Efficiency:
Lead efforts to analyze current workflows, systems, and procedures to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Work with teams to redesign processes and introduce optimized workflows, aiming for enhanced speed, reduced costs, and higher quality outcomes.
Monitor and measure the impact of process changes, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure ongoing improvement.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership:
Work closely with different departments, including Engineering, Design, Construction, Operations, and Quality Control, to understand challenges and opportunities for improvement.
Foster cross-functional collaboration to develop innovative solutions that can be scaled across the project and adopted company-wide.
Act as a champion for continuous improvement, encouraging all project team members to participate and contribute to process optimization efforts.
Training and Knowledge Sharing:
Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to educate team members on innovation and continuous improvement practices and methodologies.
Ensure that the project team is equipped with the tools and knowledge to actively participate in improvement initiatives and contribute to driving operational excellence.
Facilitate knowledge sharing across teams to ensure that lessons learned from innovative projects and process improvements are disseminated and adopted across the organization.
Technology Integration and Automation:
Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in the construction, engineering, and infrastructure sectors that can contribute to project success.
Drive the adoption of technology solutions and automation tools that can improve project delivery, performance, and efficiency.
Ensure that technological innovations are integrated effectively into workflows and that teams are trained to leverage these tools for maximum benefit.
Risk Management and Problem Solving:
Identify and assess project risks related to operational inefficiencies, quality issues, or technological gaps, and develop innovative solutions to mitigate these risks.
Proactively anticipate challenges and create risk management strategies that involve innovative approaches to problem-solving.
Lead the continuous improvement of risk management processes, ensuring that risk identification and mitigation strategies are regularly updated.
Reporting and Analysis:
Lead the development of reports and presentations that track the progress of continuous improvement initiatives and highlight key achievements and areas for further improvement.
Analyze data related to project performance, cost savings, quality improvements, and process optimizations to quantify the impact of innovation and improvement initiatives.
Present findings to senior management, providing actionable recommendations to further drive continuous improvement and innovation.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Change Management) are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, innovation management, or continuous improvement roles, with a strong background in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Proven experience leading innovation initiatives and driving continuous improvement using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Agile.
Strong background in change management and facilitating cultural shifts toward a mindset of innovation and continuous improvement.
Skills & Knowledge:
Expertise in Lean principles, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to design innovative solutions and optimize project performance.
Knowledge of emerging technologies and how they can be integrated into project workflows to drive innovation and efficiency.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and promote change across teams.
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to adopt new approaches and methodologies.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
Certifications:
Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile, or other relevant improvement methodologies.
PMP or similar project management certifications are highly beneficial.
Industry Experience:
Experience working in large-scale infrastructure or construction projects, with a focus on innovation, process optimization, and technology integration.
Experience in cross-functional team leadership and working with multidisciplinary teams to implement continuous improvement strategies.
Technological Expertise:
Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, Procore), BIM, and other tools that can support innovation and continuous improvement efforts.
Understanding of digital transformation trends and how they can be leveraged for enhanced project delivery and operational efficiency.
