Job Description:

ICA & SCADA Engineer

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented ICA & SCADA Engineer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Delivering technically excellent I&C engineering designs and consultancy services for small to large scale projects in the water industry. Projects will encompass all delivery phases for both existing infrastructure and greenfield sites.

• Develop design drawings, specifications, technical design reports, Calculations, P&IDs, instrument selection, Operation and control philosophy, I/O List, Interlock and logic diagrams, Loop diagrams, cause and effect Diagrams, FDS, detailed layouts, cable containments and shielding and all other documents.

• Design control systems, including SCADA, PLC, RTU, system architecture, industrial network and functional specifications, comfortable in designing, configuring, and integrating these systems.
• Control system design recommendations, programming, schematic design, and troubleshooting to ensure high system availability.
• Prepare Tender Documentation including Project Scope of Works (SOW) and Particular Specifications.
• Assist QS team in Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and review/comment on the final BOQ.
• Respond to the Tender Queries from bidders and assist in the Tender Evaluation Process.
• Review Detailed Design, IFC drawings, Material Submittals, Shop Drawings, and vendor documentation.
• Provide support to field engineering to resolve contractor technical queries.
• Perform work in accordance with agreed upon scope, budget, and schedule
  Track and manage task budgets, schedules and projects.
• Mentoring and facilitating the technical development of junior engineers.
• Participate in risk Identification/Hazard Analysis and HAZOP.
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Engineering Degree in Instrumentation & Controls / Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics from an accredited universtiry. Master’s degree will be an added preference.
• Minimum 5+ years of significant I&C engineering experience with water/ wastewater infrastructure treatment plants and/or pumping station or Substation automation projects in UAE or GCC.
• Good knowledge of international standards, Abu Dhabi Authority Standards and best practices related to instrumentation and control systems.
• Must have good knowledge of digitalization and the relevant technologies.
• Shall have worked on different technologies in the field of communication and aware of the interoperability with different types of communication protocols.
• Experience in the design of telecom systems for utility projects, including fiber optic cable (FOC), network design.
• Experience in design of OLTE (SDH/MUX), network switches/routers, MPLS, IP telephony, hotline systems.
• Experience in physical security system design.
• Experience in Operation Technology Cybersecurity, security Architecture, Secure system design.
• Strong knowledge of Security architecture principles, Cryptography, Secure coding practices, Network and cloud security, Secure SDLC methodologies.
• Experience with threat modeling tools.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
